A lot of us were inspired to write about the swimming sports. Here are a few examples of our writing.
As I lower myself into the warmish water, I catch a glimpse of my fierce competitors. I stare at the gleaming water. “Marks. Set.” BOOM! The wooden clappers collide. Me and my opponents push off the edge. Kick! Splash! Kick! Splash! “Go Amon!” I hear Micah cheer for me. I raise my head for air. “Ahhh!” I gasp. My head goes back under the water. I felt like my legs were on fire. Luckily I’ve finished the race. I limp out of the pool and get passed a tiny pink stick. Yes! I got third!
