Survivor Treasure Island!

We had three tasks to complete. The first was learning about coordinates. This is a map reading exercise. It was loads of fun. We watched this video first before we completed the activity.

Then we had were given this map:

And this is the activity we had to do. Thanks Hunter W for sharing your slide with us.

Then, we had to work out what was at each of the coordinates

We then had a mystery to figure out where the treasure is buried.

Campbell worked out the clue first. He saw that the first letter of each word spelt out the coordinates eight, two which is where the lighthouse is!

Our second task was to write some stories about Treasure Island:

Our last task was to make up our own treasure map using clipart images. We then had to get a friend to type in the coordinates of each image:

It was so much fun!
