We haven't done a Roll a Story for AGES! Today was a good reminder that we should do them more often.

One cold and dark night there was a Magician camping in the Woods Of Doom. He was not scared at all until... a group of aliens came out of nowhere and tried to attack him with laser guns. He ran as fast as he could. Eventually he got tired and stopped for a rest behind a tall tree even though he shouldn’t have. Suddenly tons of ufos are taking over the world. He needed to fight them. There was a sword with the four elements on it. Earth, wind, fire and water He said to himself “This will be useful”. The aliens heard him and captured him and put him on a U.F.O and pushed him hard on the back into a jail cell. Luckily he still had his sword. He used wind to push open the jail cell. The aliens pulled out element swords but it had lightning on them. He destroyed one of the swords and got lightning on his. He shot them with a lightning strike then he jumped out of the U.F.O into a pond. After a few minutes the U.F.O crashed. That gave him an idea. He could go into every U.F.O and crash them all one by one. After a day he crashed and shot all the u.f.o’s by using another U.F.O . When he returned home he told everyone what happened. They all believed him because he was driving the U.F.O. He was a world hero.

Once upon a time there was a dragon named Frost and he came upon a very bad cold. He was super hot so he went out of his big ice cave to have some fresh cold air, until… he found a jelly bean factory! Frost was too curious he had to go look. He got to the factory but he found jelly bean guards in front of the colossus jelly door. He had to get in to find out what was inside and why. Frost charged in and tried to be scary “ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he yelled. The jelly bean guards didn’t react to that as he had planned and instead just ran to him and nudged him and marched him to the king of the jelly factory. The king said to drag him to the mouldy jelly bean dungeon! But the guards thought he said the time traveler machine! And no one ever saw him again…

Until he got sent back!

Hello, I’m Jack Sparrow. Detective Sparrow to you. I’m a pirate and a detective. Most people don’t know that about me. But I’m having a rest. I’m going camping in the woods with my friends. But normally when I go somewhere everything goes wrong, so I’m trying to be careful this time. The fire is nearly out and it’s getting dark so I decide to go and collect more wood so the fire doesn't go out completely. When i’m scouting for the wood, I come across a large hole. And not just any hole, an endless pit. I nearly stumbled in until an unknown character grabs me by my shirt. “You can’t die now, because I need to kill you” The Mysterious figure said. And the man pushed me into the huge hole.

I fall through the darkness hoping the was an end, but after ten minutes of falling I gave up on that hope. My life story was clear now. The new story of pirates of the Caribbean would be Jack Sparrow, falling into a bottomless pit and eventually starving to death. My life flashed before my eyes. I knew I shouldn't have come on this camping trip. I knew I would have been on the verge of being killed if I came. I just wanted to have fun! Can’t a detective have a rest once in awhile? A second later a long rope came down to rescue me. “Sparrow! Is that you!” I heard a voice yell. I grabbed onto the rope and got pulled out of the horrific hole. When I got out I was shook. Well at least I’m okay. For now…

This was it. I finally got to do my first magic show! I wanted to become the best magician- ever. I sprint over to my wardrobe. Right now I’m in my bedroom. One day, I’ll be in Las Vegas. I sort through my clothes, looking for the special coat that my grandfather gave me. He was the greatest magician I knew. And I try my best to follow in his footsteps. I find what I'm looking for just as mum calls me for prep. My black and red coat swishes around my knees as I wrap the collar around my neck. All of a sudden, I hear voom, voom, voom. I turn around carefully. Huh. that’s weird. There’s nothing there. Suddenly, something smashes into my face, and I'm knocked out cold.

I open my eyes. I don’t remember closing them. Actually, now that I think about it, I can’t remember my name either. Do I even have a name? Where am I? Who am I? I close in on my surroundings. It looks like I'm on a rickety rope bridge, with no memory of who I am, how I got here, or where “here” is…

One day a detective called Detective Kiara went out to find lost treasure in the woods by the west in Canada. She got half way there already. After 2 hours of sitting in the helicopter she finally got there, she jumped out of the helicopter and landed on the soft mud. She started to walk into the woods and then got her map out and started to look at the map. She followed the path and found a cave by a waterfall. She went up to it and went through to see if there was anything inside but when she went through the tunnel she saw the exit and went through and saw more trees. It was getting dark so she decided to set up camp. In the middle of the night she woke up and saw something glowing in the distance, so she decided to get her torch and followed the light and… She found the lost treasure! The next morning she got her helicopter driver to pick her up and help her get the treasure in the helicopter...

At night there was a zookeeper walking around in a dream, but there was one thing the zookeeper wasn't in a dream he was awake and didn't even know. The zookeeper stumbled across an old cracked bride with cut ropes, he was looking straight forward and his eyes were starting to close… The zookeeper falls asleep and trips over a crack, hits his head on a wooden plank and falls into a volcanic sewer where the sewer water was lava and the fire rats live. They offered him a place to sleep for the night. In the morning the rats built a ladder made out of obsidian and he climbed out to safety.

One dark and gloomy Late afternoon me and my Detective friend Jacob were exploring an abandoned graveyard. Suddenly we heard bazaar scuttling and creaking noises coming from behind the tall dead grass. All of a sudden an army of robotic spiders as big as cars leaped out of the grass and launched lasers at us. We ran to a grave shed and hid behind the spear graves. Suddenly a laser shot out of one of the robotic spiders shot a laser at the grave we were hiding behind. ZAP KABOOM. We run out of the shed and I trip and fall on some old bones. “Look” says Jacob. “Laser cannons”. We Grab one each and charge at the spiders.

ZAP. KABOOM. The epic battle raged on until there was one robotic spider left. . . The biggest. ZAP. KABOOM. Me and Jacob shot at the same time and destroyed it.

We found our way back to our cars still carrying the laser cannons and went back home. “Phew” I say. “That was close”.

On a dark and gloomy afternoon, Me and my detective friend Ethan were exploring an abandoned graveyard. We cautiously walked through the entrance. Just then we heard a terrifying scattering noise coming from behind the tall dead grass. All of a sudden 10 robotic spiders as big as cars, started shooting lasers at us. We ran behind a tall gravestone to hide from the robotic spiders. we needed weapons and fast! I turned my head to see a fake sword next to a gravestone. The sword was pretty strong. I knew what I needed to do. I stood up and charged at the robotic spiders with my friend Ethan with a laser cannon in his hand… After 5 minutes me and Ethan were both lucky to be alive WE WON.

One cold night Detective Olivia got an important call from the prime minister of New Zealand. “Something was found in the graveyard farthest away from your house. It might be dangerous and it might not be, no one knows. You are the smartest person I have known longest so far. Could you please go check it out?” “Sure thing” I replied. Now I had to reschedule everything. In the end it turned out like this:

5:00 am= Wake up, get dressed and eat breakfast

5:30 am=Brush my teeth, pack equipment I would need

6:00 am= Go on the important mission

8:30 am= Toilet break

I do not want to write any more of the time table…

So Detective Olivia traveled far and wide until she reached the spooky graveyard, mostly known as the witches graveyard. There she looked around in every direction, and no one was to be found. Suddenly a spot of light appeared on the ground. This particular spot moved around until it found what it was looking for. On the hard wet dirt was a weird shaped key. Questions popped into her head but none was there to answer them. Minutes passed like hours as Detective Olivia carefully looked up and down the whole graveyard. As she passed an old oak tree she tripped over a root sticking out and fell into a hole that wasn’t there before...

One day a girl named Chloe ( a detective ) was camping in the woods with her friend Ellie.The 2 girls set up their tents, had dinner, went to explore and all that. The next day Chloe woke up when she realised that Ellie had disappeared. She grabbed her detective gear and went outside to try and find Ellie there was no sign of her.Chloe's parents woke up and quickly got ready for the day.Do you know what way she went? No I just woke up and she was gone.Come on let's go into the forest and check if she's there meet back here in 10 minutes.10 MINUTES LATER I found Ellie but she doesn’t remember me. Where am I? I know what happened she must have eaten or just touched a memory wipe position and it wiped her memory. The next day

I show the people inside the top hat all of the people saw nothing inside the hat. Then...Ta-Da I pull a white bunny from inside the top hat. The crowd cheers in amazement. I’m ready to start my next act. My assistant brings me a sword and then lights it on fire. I take the sword and place it in my right hand then I put the flaming sword down my throat and the crowd gasps. I pull the sword out again. I tell the people in the crowd that I'm having a little break so they could get some food. I walk behind the tent and sit on my chair thinking of what my next act could be. Suddenly I hear screaming I run back into the tent to see what has happened. A blue ray beams down on me. My feet start lifting off the ground. I throw a smoke bomb.POOF. To be continued...

While I was chilling on the sky tower, I saw a giant metal disc in the sky. It looked like a ufo... it’s a ufo! I fly up to where the ufo was to try and freeze with it my frosty ice breath. It was to fast for me I could’nt keep up with it’s speed. I look to my left and see a giant explosion it must be the aliens. My wings flap like a boat motor.a beam of ice burst’s out my mouth and hits the ufo down from the sky. I see another one and freeze it. A shadow covers the city I look up and see the mothership I use all my might to freeze it but it does’nt work. I fly straight to my brother witch is a fire dragon to tell him to help me. We zoom to the mothership my brother red melt’s half of it with his lava hot breath and I freeze it with my frosty zero-celsies ice breath. BOOOM!!! The mothership explodes into a million pieces but there was no alien inside it...

One day on the news paper a new investigation for detective Sonny magicians are going missing and the great zucchini/Mika has been stollen. Im going to my suspects of the catastrophe my first suspect is Oliver ‘so you were at the show when he was stollen’ it wasn’t me i promise please there were shadows in the sky and then he disappeared what did these shadows look like they were round cool well then were finished here GET OUT OF HERE OLIVER ok so that was a lot of information i stay up all night thinking about what could have happened at the crime seen so the next morning i went of to the seen to find evidence of what happened i searched around the place for more evidence the only thing i found was a piece of metal so i pulled out a metal detector but when it didn’t beep is this real metal i said under my breath BOOM!!! Oh no everybody get down. I duct down and saw a alien ship what i grab a pistol and start shooting the ship what the bullets are just bouncing of the ship...

“Huh? Where am I?” I looked around me, and realised I wasn’t in my bed, or in the zoo, I was on… A SKY TOWER?? I nervously look down. I was so high up! How did I get here? I saw a sign that pointed to a science exhibit, so I decided to follow it.

There it was, the rusty old door. I pushed it open. CREAK! The room was filled with things that looked like toxic gas. The room was glowing with a neon green colour. Out of the corner of my eye I could see a mysterious shadow lurking around in the darkness. Something fell, Quickly, I spun around. Then, right in front of me was a mad scientist. “AHH!”

I tried to get out of there as fast as I could, but the doors were locked! `It went blank. All I could hear was the muffled sounds of things moving. I woke up, but I wasn’t in my normal life and I was in this weird machine thing, Everything was different! Hopefully my house was still there! I was just about to cross the road when I realised, I was in the PAST! A lot of things had changed, for instance the cars all looked different, the shops had different names and sold things unlike what we had now. How would I get out of this mess?

here was a Circus and a clown was performing he tripped and everyone laugh at him. It was on the cover of every magazine. He went over to his mum / her grave. He told her what had happened emotionally. When he walked away he tripped and fell into a coffin. Suddenly felt it being lowered in tho the ground. He barely had oxygen. His final words were I-i love you d-dad… Detective Olivia went to solve the case. Sadly she never figured it out.

Once there was a detective named Detective Smith. one day Detective Smith was on a mission to find out who stole the city gem. So he set off on his mission. First he came upon a rickety rope bridge he had to walk very slowly… when he got across the bridge he walked into a cave then he accidentally tripped and fell into a steep hole. He had no idea how to get out all he had in his bag was a magnifying glass and a cell phone which had no reception. He started thinking about how to get out of the hole but he had no idea. Suddenly he heard someone he gasped! He saw another Detective the other detective swing a rope into the hole and brought Detective Smith out.

As I stumble along the forest floor I come across a jelly bean factory. Suddenly, I wondered if they have vanilla flavoured. I trotted along the path and saw it. The Double Doors. My Heavy head banged against the doors. BANG. Then - wow……. The Jelly beans! My eyes gleamed with delight but still no vanilla flavour. On the corner of my eye, I spotted a leopard wearing an apron, with a mega spatula on top of a big metal bowl. The leopard started to wobble and shake and tipped. I need to catch it. Finally, I realised to stretch out my trunk and catch it. I did it. I heaved her back to her hind feet. Her name was Miisa. She thanked me and in favour she gave me a map of how to get around the place. I galloped up some stairs to the iceslay ( Where the jelly beans get frozen ) and stretched out my ears. Ready for take off. Three, Two, One…. ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! My ears lifted me off the ground. Until I remembered why I was in the forest. TO DO FLYING PRACTICE!!! Uh oh… I need to stay focused on where i’m flying. Bonk! I look up still no vanilla flavoured. You know what, I’m starting to think there isn’t one. Uh oh where's the map? I start to wander around. I don’t even know where the exit is. I’m lost. I think I should look for the map. Wait, is that the iceslay? It is. Good, it’s only a couple of metres away.

Ding, the elevator door opens with a creak I seeped out my head held high and my magnify class held to my face as I walked out onto the roof of the top of a sky tower. There were little footprints all over the place. I followed them until they disappeared off the side of the tall tower.

There was another ding from the lift as the door opened again, a green body with antenna walked out with 4 eyes on its round oval head. “Blblbabl” said the strange creature. The accent sounded familiar. I itched my hat. oh yes the time I went to Mars to solve the mystery why aliens are green. I step back and my heel touches the each of the building. There was a bright flash of light then there was another alien standing right beside the first one there were more flashes of light every time one more aliens appeared. I pulled out my flashlight that was asleep in my pocket. I shined it on the aliens. There were about 20 of them standing in the darkness ,some stacked up on each ever. The torch blocked off again. I reach down and feel something hard at my foot. I pick it up and have a close look at it. It was a sword. I look at the aliens again and they look about ready to fight. I get into position to fight. Down broke at last and the last alien finally ran away with a scared scream. I had done the awesome detective soothed another mystery.

It was a long night for town detective Nancy Drew. She had just solved the case of the Mayor’s Broken windows. What a cheeky window cleaner! It wasn’t that hard. It was obviously the window cleaner, ‘cause he was just trying to get double the money by the mayor and the robbers that were hiring him to break the windows so it’s easier to steal the mayor’s diamonds. What a sneaky lot! But it was 10:07pm, and Nancy was EXHAUSTED. As she walked home, Nancy thought about the new haircut she got, with it being dyed black and cut short to shoulder length. As Nancy came up to her neighbourhood graveyard, She heard a rattle behind her. A small voice whispered in her head “turn around Nancy Drew”. Nancy whipped her head around, and there was a black brochure on the ground, with golden inscription around the edges of a silver gemstone. “Hello, Nancy Drew. What a pleasure to meet you!” said the brochure. “Who-who are you? What are you? How can only I hear you? And why are you a brochure?” replied Nancy. “I can only answer one question at a time, Nancy. Otherwise we’d be here all day,” replied the brochure. All of a sudden, with an ear piercing POP, the brochure changed from a brochure to a spider. No, not a spider. Was that an eight-legged donkey? Or a donkey-headed spider? Whatever it was, it had glowing, blood-shot red eyes, filled to the brim with hatred. Its head supported one antenna, with a glowering ball of darkness at the end. “But I’ll tell you who I am. I’m your worst nightmare!” retorted the creature. “WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?!” screeched Nancy. Nancy’s eyes supported fear and horror. “Why, I’m a spider-legged donkey!” replied the ‘Spider-legged-donkey’, as if this was a normal thing to be. “And I have to kill you! Bosses orders! So, I hope you had a good life!” replied the Spider legged donkey. Nancy was a detective, not an athlete, but she sprinted like one. Nancy tried to swerve through the graves, but it was hard, and she tripped. Luckily the spider was really slow, so Nancy stumbled back up and tried to run, but her ankle was throbbing. Nancy was off-balance and tripped, landing on her sore ankle. It was probably sprained or twisted, if not broken. All Nancy knew was that it screamed with pain. She couldn’t get up. Her nose was bleeding from the impact of her fall. Her sight and memory was fuzzy. All she could see was someone shadowing over her, whispering in a soft tone. “I got her boss. Don’t worry.”
