Our ANZAC DAY…
Every year our family gets up and goes to the dawn parade at camp. Since we are a military family Dad’s usually in the parade and he wears a fancy army suit and I usually wear very nice clothes and also a poppy on my t-shirt or on my warm hat.
The dawn parade starts at 6:00am and we listen to the last post https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McCDWYgVyps
And we remember the people who fought and died at Gallipoli and our family friends who have also passed away while in the army with my dad.
After the dawn parade we go to the mess which is a big place where army soldiers go to eat - a dining hall. And we have breakfast all together with friends and whanau.
